New Location (Again)

This Friday will be our last meeting at the current location. We are grateful to the North West Initiative for allowing us to use their space in the building we have been using.

But the time has come to move on.

More details to follow, but with this upcoming location change, we will be meeting on a different day, and at a different time. Meetings will be held on the LCC campus on Wednesdays, 6-10pm.

2/2/10 Edit: We will be meeting at room 127 of the TLC building, NE corner of Capitol and Shiawasse. If you can find a space, you can park at the SW corner parking lot for free. Parking is free after 6pm, so don't show up too early.

2/6/2010 Edit: Last week the city was charging $2 to park at the lot previously mentioned. Thus free parking (on the street) was difficult to find. More to come on parking.

November Swiss

Well, The lansing chess club has moved again. This time we stayed in the same building but we are now in room 107. I hope everybody reads this and comes to the swiss this weekend.

Michigan Open

As the 2009 Michigan Open is in Lansing this year, we will not be meeting on Friday, September 4. Our normal meeting time conflicts with the first round of the 4 day schedule.

So things will be back to normal on the following Friday: September 11.

Cancellations

We will not meet on the 14th or the 21st this month. All of the club leadership will be up north, either at the U.P. Open, or camping just afterwards.

We'll see everyone on the 28th.
